Mel's Shopping Diary
Some “Revelations” to Reader Questions
July 24, 2007I realize my website has not been updated in a while. I'm sorry! Me and my team are trying to get it TOGETHER now.
I'm getting tons of emails and posts about when the next Blue Bloods book is coming out...so here's the answer.
REVELATIONS is scheduled for Fall '08. I am still writing this book so I hope I can make the deadline!! I'm sure I will, I do not want to disappoint. It's got tons and tons of great stuff in it! Like that it's set in Brazil!!
666: The number of the Beast is NOT a new Blue Bloods book. It is a horror anthology from Scholastic that is coming out this September. I have a Blue Bloods SHORT STORY in it, that involves Dylan. You get to find out what happened to him between Blue Bloods and Masquerade. It's pretty cool, so check it out! Also it's written from the POV of a human girl, which was fun to write.
Yes, there is a SEQUEL to ANGELS ON SUNSET BOULEVARD. It is called "THE STRIP". I am writing this book now and I'm hoping to get it done in time for its scheduled publication next Spring.
I do not know if there will be a fifth Au Pairs book yet. I know. I know. I'm sorry!!!! I know a lot of you are demanding one, so I am thinking about it. But I am REALLY EXCITED for my new series SOCIAL LIFE: THE PRIVATE JET CHRONICLES, which kicks off in St. Tropez and is about three teens who travel the world according to the social calendar and have lots of fun and drama and romance and shopping. If you love the Au Pairs you're going to LOVE Social Life.
S&S is sending me on book tour for THE ASHLEYS this January. So let us know where you want me to go! But please, if you do want me to come visit your town, your bookstore, or your school, please make sure that you and all your friends actually attend the event! I can't go to every place, so I'm hoping the places I do get to go to make an impact. There's nothing more exhilarating than having an AWESOME event and nothing more depressing than going thousands of miles away from home, leaving your family, to read to... the bookstore owners (who are very nice but still).Yes, it has happened! And even ONE reader makes a difference.
xoxo
Mel
And since I can't help it...another too adorable shot of my baby.

Ive already replied on your myspace but I don’t know which one you check first, so I’ll reply on both!
Blue Bloods was amazing (recent;ly read it on theb plane to California and finished it in three hours) and I can’t wait to read Masquerade. Im normally not a fan of fantasy and was weary reading this book but it has definitley changed my mind.
But in my little Walden Books in Prepsville, NC we have NO Melissa delaCruz books. Maybe like 2 copies of Crazyhot, 1 copy of TheAupairs, and 1 copy of Masquerade and AOSB. And they’re all hardcover. And my mom HATES buying hardcover unless shes feeling extra generous but she always makes me wait a few months.
I figured with the way you ended Crazy bHot there wasn’t going to be another one. :(
I started writing AuPairs: The Second Generation where the girls are all grownup and have kids of their own with houses in the Hamptoons but it very isn’t that good. I don’t think of myself as that good of a writer. Nothing compares to your work.
The new book sounds good! Ill definitley read it.
As for AOSB I need to read it; as soon nas I finish all the booksn I bough to read over the summer.
And Ill read The Ashleys too. I still enjoy clique-y tween reads.
Please come to North Carolina! I live a farf distance away from everything so I could convince my mom to drive me uo there to meet you! None of my friends read your books but don’t worry I’ll MAKE them go and read your books; they’d really like them.
Your baby is so cute!

Wow, I absolutely loved Masquerade. I’m so glad I pre-ordered lol. It was amazing and exceeded expectations. I’m in love with all the characters. The ending just kept me wanting more! One year is torturous but it really is worth the wait. Is the new series Social Life out yet or is to be released because your site says it was out in May 07 but I can’t find it on Amazon. Maybe I’m just computer challenged haha.
Can’t wait for more of your books. They’re fabulous and I love that you’re such a fashionista and have such great fashioin references in your books. You should come to Canada sometime! The west coast preferably. It’s not too far from California. :D
P.S. j’adore your baby soo cute.

I love the Blue Bloods series, and wish Revelations will come out sooner. The SOCIAL LIFE sounds amazing, and I can`t wait
Please, come, to Raleigh, North Carolina.
The Triangle Towne Center Barnes & Noble or the Crabtree Valley Mall Barnes & Noble would be the best bet, but so is the Six Forks Rd. Borders

I loved Blue Bloods and Just finished Masquerade, it was very good! I can’t wait for the next book, I hope it doesn’t take as long as you say (Fall 08) I will like forget everything by then… ah!!! These books are really good though, like as good as Twilight, another vampire book. You do such a great job with writing these novels, I always love to see how each author brings a new taste to the whole vampire story! Thanks again for the great reads!!

ps. you’re baby is adorable! congrats!

I loved Blue Bloods and Masquerade. I cannot wait for the 3rd one. how many are there going to be?
I also bought Angels on Sunset Boulevad recently and loved it too
I’m planning on buying Crazy Hot next time I’m at the store.
Also, I know it’s sort of unreasonable to request but it would be nice if you could maybe come to canada alberta or something as my favorite authors rarely come up here =(
oh well.
I hope your baby’s doing good =D

I can’t wait for Revelations;
But I am waiting for Masquerade—since I just ordered it. =]
Anddd, I’m on my way to reading AOSB, as soon as I get Crazy Hot.
Wow, I have a lot of catching up to do. Haha.
Social Life sounds SO amazing. My dream is to go to St. Tropez!
But it’s in France, and that means triple-digit airfare prices. xD
So hopefully I can live vicariously through your series. =D
[I always do in the Au Pairs!]
Please, please, please come to New Jersey again!
Preferably Southern or Central Jersey!
*cough*OceanCountyorMonmouthCounty.*cough*
Haha, those are like the only parts of Jersey my mom knows her way around.
The Barnes & Nobles in Freehold and Howell are a given for a crowd.
& down the street from my house.
So pleasepleasepleaseee come!
Please? =D
Can’t wait for another post!
[And another cameo from your cute babyyy!]
